Other Festivals

After the practice described above has been established, which means that you have done this practice very often and know it in detail, you can try out more white and red festivals. However, I borrowed these festivals in Buddhism, since they are nowhere in the Bön literature I have at my disposal, so the transmission lines go back to the third Karmapa, Rangjung Dorje and Buddha Shakyamuni. However, Sangwa Dupa in the Bön lineage was a previous incarnation of Buddha Shakyamuni, so the lineage, though unrecognized by the rest of Buddhism, still flows back into the Bön.

 

 

Supplementary Line Invocation

Do the previous practice to the point where you emerge as Kalzang Ma. Then do the summarized version of the following line invocation:

 

I invoke the lineage of the Father Tantras skillful means..
I invoke the line of Mother Tantra of Wisdom.
I invoke the line of absolute non-dual meaning.
I invoke the line of Happy Experience [the Tantrics have].
I invoke the line of Siddhas of Chöd.
I invoke the line of powerful Dharma Protectors.

 

Give your blessing to reverse my attachment to worldly activities that are the appearance of delusion.
Give your blessing so as not to cling to the illusory body composed of the five elements.
Give your blessing of «one taste» to the obstacles of disorders and diseases of demons, which are the causes of mistakes.
Give your blessing, my own face [i. the true nature] in the spiritual manifestations of the wandering phenomena.
Give your blessing of the liberation of spontaneous self-awareness of the three bodies.

 

May I and all sentient beings of the six realms, after leaving all the defilements of the dualistic mind-stream, attain the perfect unsurpassable enlightenment.

White Feast No. 2

The skin is removed from the corpse and spread. We cut off three limbs, one leg and the arms, and put them on the skin. This becomes a tripod of three human heads. We put the skull on it. In it our body is hacked. By stirring three times with the slaughter knife, this becomes pure nectar. The Blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Ten Directions gather in the skullcap in our left hand. The nectar overflows from our crown chakra [as Kalzang Ma] and dissolves into the skullcap that becomes an ocean of inseparable wisdom and Samaya nectar.

 

From ourselves [as Kalzang Ma] many white Dakinis go out holding skullcaps that they fill of from the main skull bowl before us.

We think that the white Dakinis are distributing this and the four guests are satisfied.

 

 

Red feast No. 2

The four limbs of the corpse are severed with the slaughter knife and planted in the four directions. We remove the skin and hang it on the four limbs; inside is a seething lake of flesh and blood. Out of our hearts [as Kalzang Ma] go forth four Dakinis, white, yellow, red, and green, and grasp the four corners of the human skin to distribute the porridge inside.

White Feast No. 3

Once again, out of the heart of Kalma Ma, our consciousness radiates outward as the seed syllable HA

Syllable HA

and out of it becomes a white Dakini holding a slaughter knife in its right hand and a vase filled with nectar in the left. By pouring the nectar from the vase into the crown chakra of the corpse, it is filled like milk in a stomach-skin sack. By pointing with the slaughter knife, this corpse breaks apart, from which an earth-foundation, as pure as crystal, arises. From this, Samaya nectar spreads like an ocean, from the top of Samsara to the deepest hell. The Wisdom Nectar, by invocation of the Heart Blessing of Line Deities, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., is stripped and dissolves into the Samaya nectar. Many of white goddesses go out from ourselves and hold vases of nectar, with which they delight the four guests. We think a fresh skullcap is filled with meat and offered to the Dharma Protectors.

Again Kalzang Ma, our consciousness, spreads the skin on the earthen floor and lays three heaps ꟷ of flesh, blood and bones ꟷ on it. The four activity Dakinis make this to a gift for all guests.

Once again, the basic presentation is that of White Feast No. 2. The multi-colored activity Dakinis hold various props of offering and offer these to the guests.

Red feast No. 4

Kalzang Ma again chops up the corpse, which becomes a great ocean of flesh and blood in an infinitely wide and spacious skullcap. Dakinis, equal in number to the dust of Mount Meru, emanate from our bodies. By offering to the eight great handicappers, etc., we think that they are content, laughing happily and singing with joy.

White Feast No. 5

Again, as in White Feast No. 3, offering goddesses go out to each of the six areas, delighting them and pacifying the suffering in each area. Through effective rays of light, the areas of the six classes of beings are emptied. We meditate that the hell area becomes NGÖN GA (Area of Supreme Joy); the area of hungry spirits DE WA CHEN (Blessing Area); the area of animals TUG PO KÖ (Area of abundant enjoyment); the area of the humans become PEL DANG DEM PA (Glorious Realm); the demigods become LE RAB DZOG (realm of complete perfected action); and the Gods world to OG MIN CHÖ KYI YING (realm above all), Dharmata. We think that these have become such pure realms.

Red feast No. 5

Even the corpse, tall, with a lustrous complexion, looks beautiful and gorgeous to the mind. It becomes a collection of attractive smell, taste, color, power and strength, filling the three worlds to be eaten by divine demons. We think she is eaten with the sound of «Ha» [in a buzz of] «Di Ri Ri».

White feast No. 6

Again Kalzang Ma skins the body and spreads the skin, pulling it with the slaughter knife into the shape of chessboard fields. Within each square are the five varieties of meat, the five nectars, the five desirables, the significant symbols of fortune, the substances of support, fulfillment and accomplishment [substances of assistance ꟷ physical support such as Tormas, Thangkas, statues, etc.; Substances of fulfillment ꟷ nectar, pills, special stones, etc.; and substances of achievement ꟷ substances that satisfy the spirit of the gods (offering, Tormas, etc.)]; the three whites and three sweeties (milk, yogurt, butter, sugar, honey and fruit essences) nectar; flesh and blood; human wealth, cities, houses and so on, always what the four guests like. We think that everyone is satisfied by the enjoyment of what he wants.

Red Feast No. 6

Again, we hack ourselves, as Kalzang Ma, the corpse with the slaughter knife. In a seething ocean of blood, below bones are planted like a throne. At the top of the bones, meat is pulled up like a banner. From this flesh, bone and blood fall continuously. We think that all demons and disabilities enjoy this for Kalpas.

Two additional Red Festivals

You can also perform any White Fest in conjunction with these two extra celebrations.

 

1. Kalzang Ma separates the limbs of the corpse with the slaughter knife and throws them in the four directions. Led by the smell come Eater, the Lord of Death, powerful Nagas, cannibal demons, etc. We think the demons are jostling while eating.
