Dzogchen Teachings

Dzogchen teachings are not tied to any particular Buddhist style. Both Tönpa Shenrab Miwoche, the Buddha of the Bön teachings (about 18,000 years ago), and Buddha Shakyamuni (about 2,500 years ago) gave these teachings. No wonder: Sangwa Düpa, one of the sons of Tönpa Shenrab, is said to have been and is one of the previous reincarnations of Buddha Shakyamuni.

Content from this collection

Let's start with about 50 short videos of (Dzogchen) teachings, which can, however, also be viewed as useful life wisdom. The links to these videos and the text from these videos can be found in a PDF file.

Now there are more videos that can be placed in the Dzogchen Category. An initial focus here is on concentrating on the breath. But a Guru-Yoga on Tapihritsa is also represented here. Further material is available for the «Seven Mirrors» and the «21 Nails», but only if you are interested.

The following five Meditations are from the Buddhism of Buddha Shakyamuni and not from Bön. A special focus here is on concentrating on breathing.

Now you are ready for the Inner Refuge, the GuruYoga on Tapihritsa with the three lights, whereby you can linger longer on one of the Chakras. What you should actually do before every Meditation are the Nine Breaths of Purification, as these are described below in connection with the Inner Refuge.

The Nine Breaths of Purifications and the three types of Inner Refuge

With the «True Source» this is explained in detail under the first three videos of the «Inner Refuge». If you have the time, you can also do the «5 Tsa Lung».

All of the above is used for attunement and preparation for a Meditation, such as a «Three-Step Dzogchen Meditation». How you combine these is up to you. However, through these preliminary exercises you will have better access to the actual Dzogchen Practice.

Seven Mirrors

Now following a series entitled «Pith Instructions from Dzogchen».

This is followed by a series that focuses on «The Five Wisdoms». Confusing! Let's start with a meditation on pain, followed by an explanation of the wisdom of emptiness. These «three» are housed as part 1. Then follows part 2.
