FEELINGS, ENERGETICS AND MENTALITY OF THE HEART CHAKRA
The heart chakra is related to love, joy, compassion and generosity, a dedication to oneness through diversity.
More than any of the chakra symbols, Anahata is the most eloquent.
Its color is green (although sometimes you can perceive the heart chakra is pink, when it also transmits the healing energy of chakra 13). Green is the color of life and depicts an interwoven community connected through energy.
Its twelve petals reveal two schools of wisdom: those states we need to overcome and these we can strive towards.
Incompetence, discrimination, partiality, defiance and longing all impede its flow. Inability to hope or repent for the wrong doings we inflict upon others will cause dysfunction. Finally, lustfulness and being a fraud both work against the serene energy of love.
Anxiety draws us away from its essence, just as it does when we lose hope or indeed, we become arrogant.
For its greatest healing, we should seek to engender harmony, empathy, clarity, unity, forgiveness and compassion.
Its essence lies in unity, purity, kindness and peace. Achieving all of these, we experience the sensation of the heart chakra as bliss.
Even its name is peaceful. Anahata means unbeaten, unstruck and unhurt and its tone is the sound made without striking two parts of the mouth together.
Amongst the twelve petals, we clearly see a hexagram created by placing one triangle on top of another. The Hindus call this symbol Shaktona, the immaculate union between male and female.
Finally, the Anahata symbolizes the place where the heart chakra lives. Above are three spiritual chakras and below reside the three physical ones. Here, it acts as a gateway for human consciousness to spill out and manifest in the physical world.
