Today's video is another yoga pose tutorial. The pose is EXTENDED SIDE ANGLE or Utihita Parshvakonasana. Extended Side Angle is a yoga pose you'll see throughout many practices as it is a very commonly used yoga pose. There are many benefits to this pose, here are some from Yoga Journal:
Strengthens and stretches the legs, knees, and ankles
Stretches the groins, spine, waist, chest and lungs, and shoulders
Stimulates abdominal organs
Increases stamina
I love to incorporate this pose into many of my practices because it is challenging, but seems to be accessible to most with the use of props or modifications if needed.
