3A Course Video: Respiratory System Anatomy, Nasal Lavage, Kapalabhati

The respiratory system: anatomy and physiology. What is the function of the respiratory system? How do you keep your lungs healthy? How can you prevent colds and hay fever? How can Breathing Exercises also help with chronic bronchitis, asthma, COPD and emphysema? You will also learn about why it is important not to smoke.

Nasal Rinsing, «Jala Neti»: You'll learn how to rinse your nose with salt water in three different ways. But it's best if you participate with us!

Practice: Sukadev leads you in the Standing Breathing Exercises Uddhiyana Bandha, Agni Sara, Gorilla, Standing Charging Exercise. Then he explains Kapalabhati, the Fast Breathing. Ananta shows you how to do it. This is followed by Kapalabhati, Alternate Breathing, Bhramari and Shitali/Sitkari. This is the Course Video of the third week of the five-week Yoga Vidya Breathing Course for Beginners. A powerful Pranayama session consisting of Agni Sara, Uddhiyana Bandha, Standing Charging Exercise, Kapalabhati 20, 25, 30 exhalations, and Alternate Breathing in the rhythm 4 : 10 : 8.

The Short Practice Video of the third week of the five-week Yoga Vidya Breathing Course for Beginners. Sukadev and Ananta guide you through 2 Rounds of Kapalabhati (Rapid Breathing) as well as a few Rounds of Alternate Breathing in the rhythm 4 : 10 : 8, that is, 4 seconds inhaling, 10 seconds holding, 8 seconds exhaling.

Note: In the opening credits, the exercise Uddhiyana Bandha is referred to by mistake. Here it should read instead: Kapalabhati.
