Day 12 Uttanasana or Forward Fold

Hey, y'all! Welcome to DAY TWELVE of the NEW YEAR NEW YOGI CHALLENGE. This challenge is 31 days of yoga with me, Nico, meant to encourage a beneficial everyday practice. Today's video is a 15 minute PEAK POSE practice & our peak pose is Uttanasana or Forward Fold with a strap. The goal of this practice is to bring you to a deeper forward fold & we do so by stretching the muscles surrounding the hamstrings such as the glutes, hips, & lower back. We work up to our peak pose & then we cool down. Be sure to listen to your body throughout ANY yoga practice. Modify in whatever ways you need to. If something is painful or doesn't feel right, safely come out of the pose & rest.
